craft love

The past two weekends I've wanted to go somewhere, but haven't wanted to leave home. Ever have that feeling? Instead I've been hanging out, working on lots of goodies.

Last weekend I was mainly messing around on the computer, working to set up my etsy shop wanderCRAFT design. The shop front is up, but it's empty right now.

I've also been working on items for the shop. As of this weekend, projects that were 1/4 of the way done are 3/4 of the way done. It'll probably still take me a couple weeks to finish everything -- take photos, figure out shipping and list everything. I admire people who do this for their job and are successful at it. It's a ton of work! But lots of fun!

I'll let you know as soon as it's live.

I've also been learning more about photo editing in Photoshop. Matt's becoming a pro so I had to catch up.

While we were in Michigan, we took his grandma to church, and incedently met a cool man in a fedora with a cane who was about to turn 100 years old. It put us in a good mood, so we drove around town a little just for fun. Matt pulled over so I could take this picture . It was high noon so it wasn't the best quality, but a little tweaking made it a bit more interesting, I think. Love the Bake-A-Teria sign! Couldn't tell if it was still in business because we didn't drive around the front. Hope so! Michigan has some of the best vintage signage around.

Last weekend on Labor Day, our one big outing was a hike to the top of Great Blue Hill.

That's looking towards where we live. It'll be fun to see how the leaves change here over time.

Yesterday, it poured all day, so I had a good excuse to stay in again and do a lot of crafting. I made a deal with myself to finish 5 projects. Not sure I finished five, but I definitely worked on five, and I made a lot of progress on my to do list. I tried to strictly enforce a "no new projects" rule this weekend, but that's almost impossible for me.

This one slipped out. It could possibly be my favorite scrapbook page ever. It took 20 minutes. I wrote out the kanji, which means love...according to the internets.

I've been starting to save little scraps to use on pages, like this love cut out from a card I got. Turning it back into "scrap"booking. ;)

Ok, off for a walk before night fall.

P.S. Matt turns the big 3-0 Tuesday! Yay!

Keep us updated on the shop!! I've sort of been thinking about doing one myself. What would you sell on yours?

Also, that scrapbook page is awesome. I love it!

I don't know how you do it all, Sara! I'm always so awed!
Love the scrapbook page, too.

Right now I'm working on some hand painted chalk boards and some photo journals. You should do it, Elizabeth!
